Callaway

Interactive Catalog

Challenge

Callaway’s sales team relied on traditional binders to share product information, but they envisioned a digital catalog that would fully utilize the iPad’s capabilities. Their goal was a sleek, interactive tool that could seamlessly blend product visuals with intuitive navigation for client presentations.

Objectives

Callaway aimed to create:

  • An engaging, dynamic sales tool with easy access to in-depth product information
  • A sophisticated, brand-aligned experience that goes beyond a simple PDF catalog

Approach

As UX lead, I worked closely with Callaway’s sales staff and our development team to bring this vision to life:

  1. Requirements & Prototyping: I met with Callaway stakeholders to identify needs and designed a detailed wireframe structure that emphasized easy navigation and dynamic interaction. Using Flash, I mocked up the 3D scrolling interface, then collaborated with developers to test and refine the iPad prototype before moving into full development.
  2. Design Execution: I designed a responsive UI that allowed sales reps to navigate quickly, presenting products interactively. This included thoughtful UX and graphic design, with a layout optimized for a high-end client experience.

Outcomes

The interactive catalog led to:

  • Improved Client Engagement: Sales reps could now provide immersive presentations, transforming Callaway’s product showcase.
  • Streamlined Access: The iPad catalog allowed for fast, seamless navigation, making it easier to deliver targeted information.
  • Enhanced Brand Experience: The final product aligned with Callaway’s premium image, setting a new standard for their sales tools.

Reflection

The Callaway Interactive Catalog was a strong example of integrating user insights with innovative design, creating a tool that redefined Callaway’s approach to product presentations. Through collaborative prototyping and thoughtful UX, we delivered a digital sales experience that was as effective as it was visually impactful.
